Our Clinical Director, Erica, is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in Illinois and Michigan. She graduated with honors from the University of Michigan in 2014 with a double major in Linguistics and Neuroscience. Erica earned her Master’s in Speech, Language, and Learning at Northwestern University in 2016, and has been on the Lakeview Speech team ever since. She’s currently pursuing her Clinical Doctorate in SLP at Northwestern.
Strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming care is paramount in Erica’s practice – she’ll talk your ear off about it if you let her! She is passionate about trauma-informed care and the link between communication skills and mental health outcomes. Collaboration and mentorship are important to her, and she is determined to learn something from every person she meets.
Erica lives in Oak Park with her husband, Cody, and her two rescue pups, Bowie and Mango. In her free time, Erica volunteers in the toy room at the Economy Shop and serves on the board of two local nonprofit organizations.
